Morgan Freeman on Legalizing Marijuana

In his interview with Marlow Stern, Morgan Freeman frankly shares his views on legalizing Marijuana. The actor candidly tells how his first wife got him using pot for the first time. “My first wife got me into it many years ago. How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it! This movement is really a long time coming, and it’s getting legs—longer legs. Now, the thrust is understanding that alcohol has no real medicinal use. Maybe if you have one drink it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and you’re fucked.” Freeman states that marijuana has many useful uses in relieving acute pain without potentially harming the user.

Morgan Freeman, who became resident in New York in the early 60’s, left the city for the Caribbean due to the rapid gentrification instigated by the treacherous real estate market that resulted in people losing their homes. It was very difficult for a passionate Freeman to take the increasing number of homeless people hitting the street every day right in front of his eyes. So he jumped into his 44-foot Ketch named Afrodesia and sailed to the Caribbean and finally anchored in the British Virgin Islands where he still resides.

Morgan Freeman is an avid supporter of Hillary Clinton and expressed his feeling to AARP Magazine after the Trump victory. To Freeman, Trump’s win “feels like we are jumping off a cliff.
